Pablo is a young boy living in a small, tight-knit village in the Andalusian countryside of Southern Spain. He has recently lost his father in a tragic accident and his only friend is an older teenaged girl named Julia. One day, a mysterious, well-dressed man named Paco arrives in town and enters Pablo's life. Neglected by his mother after his father's recent death, Pablo forms a strong attachment to Paco, despite the warnings of the townspeople.
Andrés, recently released from prison, attempts to reconnect with his twelve-year-old son, José Ramón, following a dark family tragedy that resulted in the loss of their wife and mother, respectively. But as they attempt to reconcile, the situation worsens as neither of them have the strength to confront the past.
Vuelve follows the mental turmoil of a boy, Gabriel, dealing with the sudden and explicit suicide of his unstable mother, to whom he was symbiotically attached. One day she appears before him, and promises that God will give her a new lease of life if he acts out ‘good’ deeds on earth. Starting with seemingly innocuous acts and progressing in both intensity and malice, the boy follows the orders from his mother’s apparition. His compulsive desire to have her back drives the cruelty of his acts to an extent beyond what anyone thought possible.
A vampiric dark-comedy, Limbo centres around a secluded colony of child-vampires between the ages of 4 and 120, who were all the victims of shameless adult vampires. They are led by a formidable and deeply religious ex-nurse whose destiny in life is to find these ‘lost souls,’ and raise them in her colony. Through religious teachings and rituals adapted from Catholicism, and the occasional visit to local towns for blood, she prepares the children for what God had in mind for them… creation of a new race of men through ‘natural cloning,’ (which amounts to being bitten by her children). However, they are neither the only colony of their kind, nor are they as secluded from the outside world as they think.
In an explosive celebration of children’s creativity, ¡Primaria! follows the lives of several students and their teachers in a peculiar, yet somewhat recognisable, primary school. When José Maria—more apt at lecturing on Fine Arts at University than controlling a group of primary kids—fills in his new post as an art teacher, chaos seems absolutely inevitable. However, the journey on which his young and infinitely imaginative little students take him shows him there’s much he can learn from them! A life-embracing tale of discovery, and the reciprocal understanding between children and adults.
They Returned is a beautifully touching and unnerving story about the unexplained disappearance of three children, two boys and one girl, and their reappearance three days later in a semi-autistic state. Not even the children themselves are able to help anyone understand what happened. No clues or signs are left, other than the fact that, as we discover later, two of them were mutilated.
As the police carry out their investigation, and the town slowly sinks into a deep state of suspiciousness, small community of children – classroom colleagues of the missing three – run their own parallel search.
Only one person is a potential suspect: the children’s own classroom teacher, recently arrived from another town. He does not help his case when he attempts to make the school psychologist understand that the children were in fact murdered…
